Quality Laminate with Natural Archtop Sound
Price: $4500
Description: "L-17" Laminate Archtop
A great sounding guitar, even unplugged - very woody and acoustic, and has considerable volume unplugged. Shows that a laminate archtop doesn't have to play second fiddle to a carved instrument.
This is a 17-inch, handmade, laminate archtop constructed from layers of instrument-grade veneers of spruce (top) and maples (sides and back). The veneers for tops and backs are molded and pressed into shape at my California shop - NOT purchased as plywood plates. The top is made from master-grade spruce, and the back is constructed with veneers of maple, highly figured on the outside.
Features include:
- 17" wide body; 2.75" depth; Venetian (rounded) cutaway
- 1-3/4" neck (at nut) width; 21 frets
- 25" scale
- Multi-piece neck
- Bookmatched, master grade woods on outside
- Black body binding
- Translucent natural or honey blonde finish (sunburst as option)
- In-body pickup with side-mounted jack plug-in
- No fingerboard inlay, in keeping with overall clean look of guitar (fingerboard inlay optional)
- Hard, plush-lined case included
- Options can be discussed
