It takes me from 3-4 months to construct a custom instrument. I personally do all the building of each Ellsberry guitar, and I spend the time necessary to ensure each instrument is of the highest quality, and that the instrument is truly what the customer had envisioned.

Placing an Order

I require a deposit of 25% of the final cost of the instrument. The remaining amount is due at the time the customer takes possession of the instrument.

Build-to-Order Process

I work with each customer to determine the specific configuration of a guitar - from woods, binding and finish to scale length and neck specifications. In addition, we discuss the kind of "voice" the player desires of the guitar, and these qualities of sound further guide the construction process. Each major phase of instrument construction is discussed with the customer and progress is communicated on a regular basis.

Return Policy

In the first 2 weeks of ownership, if the customer is not satisfied with the completed instrument for any reason, the instrument may be returned to the maker. The returned instrument must be in original, undamaged condition.

Guarantee

A new Ellsberry Archtop Guitar is guaranteed to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for the life of instrument. This guarantee is provided to the original purchaser and may not be extended to subsequent owners of the instrument.

The guarantee does not cover:

• Modifications made to the instrument by owner or other parties
• Normal wear of the instrument such as worn frets, worn plating, or areas of finish worn by normal use of the instrument
• Changes to instrument finish over time
• Any damage due to misuse or carelessness on the part of the owner
